11What was the warranty period?
The SDS 200 and SDS 200A carried a one-year warranty. Repairs and shipping could be charged after the warranty period, and customer-caused damage was excluded. Repair service is no longer available because the company has closed.
10Where can I download the latest archived SoftScope version?
the Downloads page contains the archived SoftScope 2.3 package. It is legacy software and is no longer updated.
9The display DPI changes after installing SoftScope.
SoftScope was designed for 96 DPI. In Windows display settings, select 100% scaling (96 DPI) and check the text size. Menu names vary by Windows version.
8The display looks incorrect after a DirectX update.
Try changing the SoftScope display mode to GDI or DirectX System. The legacy path was Start > Programs > SoftScope2 > Utilities > SoftScope Display Mode Change.
7Which DirectX versions were supported?
Legacy SoftScope was designed for DirectX 6.0 or later. Compatibility problems may occur on modern Windows, so use a dedicated legacy environment where possible.
6The SDS 200 does not work after a firmware upgrade.
The upgrade may not have completed. Check the green/red LED state and the SDS 200 driver in Windows Device Manager. If SoftScope reports "Error No SDS200(A) found," retry the firmware upgrade.
5How do I upgrade SDS 200 firmware?
Downloads page and use the SDS 200 Firmware Upgrade Kit. Back up existing data and scan the package before running it.

Firmware is software stored in hardware that controls the device.
